Question: How does a private and exclusive weight room compare to that of an all-student access weight room. Why are there such different spaces for varsity athletes and the student body?
Other things to examine:
This blog has been created as a research project for Dr. Gaffney's Urban Social Geography Course at UNC-Chapel Hill. We will examine the differences in exclusive athlete's only faculties with the all-student access faculties. How these different sociospaces are appealing for the athlete and the student. What are the nonathletic student's perceptions about the architectural structure of athletic faculties in comparison with what they usually use. How do the different sociospaces reflect and cater to the different groups.
